Snowboarding

Brock and I hit the slopes on Saturday for some snowboarding fun. We went to Bridger Bowl; it's about 16 miles out of Bozeman and it's super pretty.
We have decided since we are so close to many Ski Resorts here in Bozeman, we better live it up! So, last week I bought my own boots so I don't have to rent any more when we go. We are going to get me my own board too but I think we'll wait to see if they'll go on sale at the end of the season.
I must confess, I am still a beginner and spent most of the day fumbling down the mountain but I think there's improvement! Brock's a really great teacher and is full of patience when I make errors so that helps.( he's also quick to tease me for them too). He was teaching my "Toe-Side" turns on Saturday, we'll see if I can make it happen next time.
We have plans to hit the Mountain up again on Friday for some more fun! I hope my body has the strength and energy I need to pick myself up all day!!!

Keep on Keepin' On

Okay, so I had to put a fun Valentines background on...I couldn't resist any longer! I think it's way cute and fun!

Also, today is my niece Kaitlyn's birthday! So happy, happy birthday my sweet little niece, I love you lots and wish we were there to help you celebrate. We hope you have a happy day and have fun raking in the goods from a birthday party.

Burrr......

I had to make note of how cold it is today because I think it's the coldest weather I've been in for a really long time. Last week it snowed a couple days and now the cold has really set in. We didn't keep up on shoveling the snow and now I am really dreading it because it's so cold. Yesterday when we got home from Church our garage had a hard time closing and this morning we have frost on the inside of our windows and a little on the inside of our front door. The good news is that it is going to warm up...to a whopping -5*F! Yes, I'll be able to put on my shorts when I go out!
Temp: -16°F (-27°C)
Overcast
Humidity: 74%

Wind Speed: CALM
Dewpoint:-22°F
Wind Chill:-16°F

Winter Time

I really don't have much to report these days, life has slowed down a little for us in the Belnap household. The only news I have to report is that Brock and I are going to buy me my own snowboard and boots so I don't have to rent anymore when we go. We plan to get some good use out of the beautiful mountains here. I am so excited.

Winter Past: Cedar City

My cute brother Jonny and his sweet wife Heather just announced that they are expecting their first baby! I am so excited I can barely stand it, I am pretty sure they are excited too. I've already decided on some good names for their baby: Brock if it's a boy or Kimberly if it's a girl. I am almost positive that they'll use my suggestions because I Am Their Favorite Person. Well, Congrats you two crazy kids! Love you!

Happy New Year 2008

Holy Smoko', I can't believe another year has passed. I remember my mom always telling me when I was little that "time flies when you get old". I never could believe that as a child when every second seemed so long at times. Time really does fly!

This last year has been a whirlwind for us. This time last year we were just settling into our new house, jobs and ward. Here we are, again, just settling into our new home, jobs and ward in a new state. EEEKKK! You never know what the Lord has in store for your life and the paths he will direct you in. Brock and I have both felt the Lord's hand in our lives with all of our new adjustments. We are grateful for paths we've been on and are now on and we continue to put our trust and faith in the Lord to continue to direct us.

Our New Years Celebration was really fun and relaxing. We had some friends from our ward over for dinner, games and to ring in the New Year. We had a lot of fun and laughs. New Years Day we slept in, went shopping and saw National Treasure 2. We are excited for 2008 and all of the new adventures ahead!

Time really does go by so quickly! It's been 2 years now since Brock finished school. He finished December of 2005 and immediately began working for Wells Fargo in St. George. I can't believe how much our lives have changed since then, it's crazy.

We are certainly glad that we are done with school!

HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!

Belnap Christmas Party

We spent Christmas this year with Brock's family in Mayfield. We had a lot of fun spending time with the family and catching up on what's new with everyone. Our group was smaller than usual because Shilo and Trevor couldn't make it this year, we really missed you guys. We had a great time and of course it came and went too fast!

Bennett Party

We had our Bennett Family Christmas Party on Dec. 20th at my brother Mike's house. We had a lot of fun spending time together and celebrating Christmas. We had a Pajama Party, breakfast for dinner, played games, exchanged gifts and snacked on all the yummy treats. We wish we could have spent more time with the family but it's a busy time of year with two families to fit in. It was great to see everyone! My Great Nephew Deondre

Merry and Bright

We finally got our Christmas lights up on our house last week! I think it turned out really great, thanks Brock. (he tried to get lights on the other peak but it was too icy-maybe next year?) It was more time consuming than we figured it would be and I think we waited for the coldest day of the year too-but it was fun.

So, I was able to convince Brock in making a Gingerbread House with me on Sunday. It was really fun and quite messy. It's not the prettiest candy made house you'll see but we like it!

The Adventures of the Belnap hunt for the perfect Christmas Tree

We purchased our Christmas Tree on Saturday this last weekend and it was quite an adventure. We found the perfect tree while we were out running errands but didn't have the ability to haul it home at that time, so we decided to come back. Of course it was gone when we came back, so the hunt for tree was on again. So we shopped around and unfortunately it was freezing cold out. (a whopping 13* outside) Needless to say we were chilled to the bone and lacking patience to really look at trees. So, we randomly picked one and bought it. When we got home we were happy that it was a pretty tree. It is super full and round, kinda short but pretty. We love it.

We spent the night decorating the tree and reminiscing about some of our special ornaments and past Christmas'. I love the nostalgic feelings and smells a Christmas Tree brings into our home.

We are ready for Christmas in the Belnap household and are enjoying this happy time of year!!!

Brock surprised me and ordered the rest of our living room set over Thanksgiving! We are really happy to have these special additions in our lives, it completes us. With our Christmas tree it's a little snug but we will have more space after Christmas. I don't know if we will have enough room for the coffee table and ottoman too, I hope we can figure it out. (notice Snoop Dogg on the T.V.- that made me laugh)

Happy Turkey Day

For Thanksgiving this year we were with the Bennett side and had a super fun time. We stayed with my Brother Jon and his wife Heather for a couple days. We had thanksgiving dinner with my extended family. All my cousins, aunts, uncles, siblings and both Grandma's were there. Dinner was great as always and the men had fun playing basketball and the women had fun with the crafts. It was so good to see everyone, we are so blessed to have such a great family in our lives.

Thanksgiving always makes me realize the blessings in my life. Brock and I are so richly blessed by the Lord in our lives. I am so grateful that he watches over us and leads our lives.

I am thankful for a wonderful husband who is my best friend and takes such wonderful care of me. I love him so much!

I am thankful for my family and friends and all of their love and support. I believe the most important relationships are the ones you make with your family. I feel so blessed that I have a wonderful family.

I am so thankful for the gospel in my life. It brings so much peace and joy into my life, the blessing from the gospel are my greatest treasures.

Of course the ladies in the family had our "BIG SHOPPING DAY" the day after Thanksgiving! We all got up early to go get the "DOOR BUSTERS" at the stores and to fight the fight. It is so much fun, I think I mainly go for the entertainment. We got tons of shopping done and some smokin' deals.

We spent a couple nights in a hotel together, we played and wrapped our Christmas gifts and are all set for the upcoming Christmas Season. The weekend was full of laughs and fun, and getting trapped in the hotel elevator. What wonderful memories.

While I was out shopping, Brock went camping with my brothers and my dad. They had a great time 4 Wheeling, hiking and shooting. It was definitely a "man" weekend. Brock had a super time with the guys.

After a busy weekend we got to stop at Brock's sister's house to visit and eat. To our pleasant surprise Brett and Sherry were there too, so we got to see them as well. We didn't get to stay long enough and had to get back on the road but we were able to eat lunch with them! It was really great to see everyone. Shilo is getting ready to have "Baby Girl Lindstrom" and is super excited to meet their new bundle of joy. Brock kept teasing Shilo about her belly and had to get a couple shots of her growing tummy. I think she looked super cute, she'll be a cute mommy. Sorry Shi if you didn't want this picture posted.

MY BIG NEWS!

So here it is, are you ready to hear my life altering news? I've decided to quit watching Days of Our Lives! I know it sounds crazy and ridiculous that I would quit watching something that's so dear to me but I've decided it's time.
Brock recently gave up energy drinks that he dearly loves to become healthier and so I decided I should give up Days to have a healthier mind. I am going to miss the drama of mixed up babies, loved ones visiting from the dead, lovers quarrels and much more but I know it's time to say goodbye to my afternoon family.
We've decided as a couple we need to be more aware of what's around us and what we are letting influence us. So we are going to be cutting a lot out of our lives in the next little bit and are going to try to become better people!
So, wish me good luck! I have watched Days for many years and will probably have withdrawals but overall I know it's a good thing that I am doing for myself.
