Bridger Canyon

We had such a pretty weekend to get out and enjoy the sunshine. We've been dying to get into the mountains so we headed up Bridger Canyon.
I was so nice to be out in the warm fresh air!

Nine Months!

Baby turned nine months a couple days ago and she is just busy growing as ever. At nine months she is even so MUCH MORE chatty and loud. She loves to hear her own voice and will try to mimic noises she hears. We can also sorta have a "conversation" with her (we make a noise and she makes a noise back). She has learned to make all sorts of different sounds lately and the latest is a funny "throat-like" singing noise, it's crazy. She is so loud at church that it's pretty funny, I hope people aren't bugged. (oh well if they are)
She is such a good little crawler now and can move sooo fast. She loves exploring the house, following mom and dad, and trying to go as fast as she can towards the dog food. ( that is a fun game for her because mom says no, which means go fast cuz' mom is coming for me). With crawling comes a lot of mischief which means being told "no" a lot. I know that she knows "no no's" because she shakes her head "no" as she crawls to or is touching something that's been deemed a "no no". She is too smart!
She loves to stand....really, she NEVER sits! She actually stood up all by herself  yesterday without holding on to anything for 5 seconds! I think she will be walking in the next few months. She is moving from one piece of furniture to the next is pulls herself up to everything. She loves to "walk" around the house while we hold her hands. She dictates where she wants to go and it's usually to find mom or dad. She goes so fast that her little legs can barely keep up.
She loves to eat and she eats everything! She still loves to nurse, eat baby food and cereal but now she is loving more solids. She loves cut up fruit and the little puff finger foods. She also is OBSESSED with eating off of our plates. Seriously, she freaks out (crying, kicking, screaming) if we don't give her food from our plate. So she is eating A LOT and is trying so many new foods. It's pretty fun!
Soooo, our trip to Utah turned her into "monster baby" that showed up every night, all night. She was up every couple hours and would cry if she wasn't held. Anyway, it was awful and we couldn't do it any longer. So we did the cry it out method a couple weeks ago and it worked. We only had to make her cry one night and then after that she has been sleeping through the night. HALLELUJAH! She cried for 45 minutes (good thing Brock was here to hold me down-so hard to not go in there) and then crumpled in a corner in her crib. She slept the WHOLE night through that night and pretty much has ever since. Naps have been better to! The only downside is that lately she is ready to go at 5:30 every morning. I'll take that over being up all night though:)
I'm not quite sure what she weighs right now because we haven't been to the Doc yet but I think she has lost weight since she has been crawling. We'll find out this week:)
The weather has been pretty crappy and cold so we've been stuck inside but we've gotten out a bit. We bought a jogger/bike trailer and baby loves it. I can't wait to spend more time outside as it gets warmer!
Blakely is such a sweet happy little bug and we are so blessed to have her. I still sometimes can't believe that she is ours and that we get to have her forever. What a wonderful blessing Eternal Families are.

Pro-Crawler
Manly Appetite
Nighttime Sleeper
Contagious Laugh
Love the puppies-pulls fists full of Brutus' hair out
A "guzzler"-loves the juice:)
Plays independently really well
Loves to sing songs
Loses interest in reading "her" scriptures-we can make it through an entire book but if we pull out her "My First Book of Mormon" and try to read she loses interest fast. It must be because it "scripture" :)
Loves, Loves, LOVES when Daddy gets home-waits by the door when she hears the garage open
She follows us around the house whining when she wants us
Will not keep shoes and socks on-argh!
Sleeps with 2-3 binks-usually throws two over and there is one left to suck on. Or she sleeps with one in her hand
Comes into our bed every morning at 5:30 and crawls all over us and scratches our faces-this is better than getting up that early
Still really social and likes to be noticed by people

Road Trippin'

Blakely and I ventured to Utah the end of March to visit family and go to the Scrapbook Expo. We left at 5:00 in the morning so she slept the first 2.5hours and then we stopped at Great Grandma's in Idaho to stretch. Once we were back on the road she slept the whole way to my parents. Luckily, she did really great and it wasn't scary like I had planned.
Blakely was babysat all day for the first time in her ittybitty life while I was at the Expo and I think she did pretty good. I did okay too, I was worried about her and the babysitters the whole time though:(
We spent time at both my parents place and at Brock's folks place so it was nice to see a lot of the family.
While I was there I able to go to my niece's Drill Team Dance Showcase and watch her dance. It was nice to be able to go watch her dance because it's been a long time since I was able to do that.
Blakely did pretty well while we were in Utah except she didn't sleep well so I didn't sleep well. I was so glad to get home once we were finally back!

Kaitlyn's Dance Showcase
Kaitlyn!
 Isn't she GORGEOUS? Seriously!

Baby B & Uncle Bob

Uncle Bob fed Blakely her first giant sugar cookie. I looked down and she was munching on a whole cookie! I had to snap a picture before I took it away:)

Kaitlyn being presented by her parents

All of the girls Dads performed a dance-it was pretty funny watching my brother dance.

(I have more pictures from my trip I need to get off of my phone)

Baby's First Easter

We had a pretty low-key Easter this year at home but it was so fun to have Blakely get some prizes from the Easter Bunny.
We had a nice Easter Breakfast, went to Church and then came home to a ham dinner and enjoyed the WARM weather! That night we watched "A Special Witness of Christ", which is an awesome video of the testimonies of Prophets and Apostles.

I'm so grateful for this time of year to reflect on the life of the Savior and his love and sacrifice for each of  us. It's always great to  recognize the significant blessings in my life!

Happy Easter!

(I seriously hate being out of order but I guess I'm just going to have to face facts...I can't keep up).

10 Years!

We celebrated our tenth wedding anniversary last week! Crazy how time flies.... seriously, ten years. Wow!
For our anniversary we went to Dinner at the Sacajawea Hotel in Three Forks. It was so nice, quiet and fancy. Plus, the food was amazing!
We also have our Caribbean Cruise booked with six of our favorite friends for this fall. All of us will be celebrating our ten years together-I can't wait!!!!

I am seriously the luckiest person to have such a loving, fun, smart, talented and HOT hubby! I love him dearly and he truly is my world! Xo, Brock! Can't wait to enjoy the next ten with you.
