Household Tasks

Brock's parents came to visit a few weeks ago for the weekend and while they were here Sherry helped us pick out hardware for our cabinets. For Christmas they gave us a giftcard to Home Depot and we thought we would spice up our kitchen with it. I've always thought our  cabinets were pretty plain and we've always wanted to add hardware. We've just been lazy with it, so it's good that Sherry helped get our "butts in gear".

BEFORE

We thought it would be a piece of cake and take an hour or two to get them all up, but it turned into a all day task and was actually pretty frustrating at times. Luckily, Brock had it all under control and they turned out great! I love them, I think it really adds a lot to our kitchen. It's made opening drawers a lot easier...I know that sounds weird but it's true!

AFTER

Thanks again for the gift Brett and Sherry, we love it!

VaLeNtInE's DaY fUn

My friend's and I are starting a monthly craft night and will be rotating between our houses and will be taking turns coming up with the craft for the month! Anyway, we had or first on last week and it was super fun! Kirsten made everything look sooooo cute I had to take a picture.

We made these cute Valentine Candy Bars to give out as fun little Valentines. I think they turned out pretty cute!

Here's another fun Valentine's project I did. (yet, another idea from my friend) I made these cute little magnet chocolates and found cute heart shaped boxes to put them into. I thought they turned out super cute and fun!!!

Valentine's Day is pretty simple at our house and we love it that way. Friday we went out for dinner, Saturday we went snowboarding (I'm still sore....lame) and exchanged our Valentines.

Brock got me this huge card and a really cute purse! I loved it...he's so sweet.

The gift I gave him wasn't as fun as what I got but I think he liked it. I gave him one of those candy bars I made and a gift card for Bob Wards. I think he liked it....if not he wouldn't say. :)

I hope you have a great Valentine's Day!

Happy Birthday Nette!

Super Bowl Sunday at Our House

We had a super fun day yesterday having people over for  the Super Bowl, I didn't take any pics because I forgot. Brock and I had some friends over to party and to have dinner with us. We had a huge spread and we all ate way tooooo much, but that's what makes if fun right?

I made some baked beans in the morning before church and I was so embaressed because we walked into church and a lady was like "it smells like food....someone's been cooking food. Isn't it fast Sunday?" I felt so evil....I felt like I had the "Scarlet Letter" on. We sat down in the chapel and I was super self-concious of how we smelled. I made Brock take his coat off and I went and ditched our coats in the hall. We still smelled, it had seeped into our skin, hair and clothes. I hate smelling like food in the first place but on fast sunday....I'm sure it was was making everyone's stomach's growl.

The game turned out great! We're all excited to see the Saints win the game, minus Dusty. I'm not a huge football fan but it was fun to be social!

These were my favorite moments from the night

This was pretty amazing touchdown from an interception.

I just thought this was precious.
I love to see people in the "spotlight" show their love for their families!
