OuR sPoOkY dInNeR

My mom and sister & her kids came to visit last weekend and while they were here I put on a Spooky Dinner for them. I did a Night for Witches & Wizards and each of us had a Witch or Wizard name and we all dressed up.
For dinner we had Monster Guts (Baked Spaghetti Lasagna), Bug Salad (salad with craisins), Mummy Bones (Bread sticks), and Dracula's Blood Clots (Jello with raspberries). For dessert we had Unicorn Eyeballs and Frankenstein Brains. For our beverages we had Spider Venom (root beer), Rotten Apple Cider and Ghost Juice (water).
We had so much fun together and the food was actually really yummy! (Thanks to Brock, he actually made the main dish for me).

Our Witch & Warlock names:
Brock: Artoro Spiderguts
Kim: Lucinda Cobweb
Mom: Gwendolyn Mummybones
Nette: Isadora Grave-Robber
Brans: Walden Gory-Ghoul

Nick's Farewell

Our nephew Nick has been called to the Villa Hermosa Mexico mission and last weekend he gave his farewell talk in Church. He picked his topic to be on family and he did such an awesome job! Of course he had us all in tears but he did a great job. We spent the afternoon at my brother's house munching on yummy food and spending time with the family. We had to say our "goodbyes" to Nick on Sunday because it was the last time we would see him before he leaves. He reports to the MTC on Wednesday the 26th. He is going to make such a great missionary and we are so proud of him. We will miss him so much but we know he is doing what the Lord wants him to do. Good Luck Nick, we love you!!!

New Babies

We have had many new nephews & nieces join our family this year and we have a few more to add towards the end of the year. We were in Utah recently and were able to meet a few of them.

On Brock's side we have Tanner, Lindyn & Stetson plus 3 more on the way.

On my side we have little miss Jaiden Marie.

We were able to meet Tyrell & Lacey's little Lindyn, Jonny & Heather's Jaiden and Dan & Nesh's bran new little Stetson. It was so fun to see the babies along with some of our other nephews and nieces. We love our family!

Conference Weekend

I'm a few weeks behind on my blog but here is  a recap of what we did over conference weekend.

We love conference at our house and we always look forward to hear the counsel from our church leaders. It's our tradition to go fish on Henry's Lake during the Saturday sessions. We love to be out on the water and fishing while we listen to conference.

It was a beautiful day on the lake even though the fishing was pretty slow. We left the lake early enough so that Brock could make Priesthood session at 6:00. We had some problems in Ennis which made Brock about 45 minutes late to priesthood but he was still able to hear most of the session. Afterwards Brock and some his friends from the ward went out to eat.

Here are some pictures from Henry's:

Boogie looking for fish

Boog loves the "shishies"

We felt bad that the fishing wasn't hot because Boog spent the afternoon waiting for fish to surface.

Of course we had to pull over and take a picture of this Buck.
