Lucky Number 7

WaaaHoo! Brock and I have been married for a grand total of 7 years now, I can't believe how time flies! Brock and I take turns planning our anniversary each year and this was my year to plan. I decided to plan a MEGA TRIP to SLC to watch the Jazz play.
We have been heavily involved with the Jazz this year and they are playing awesome so I thought it would be super fun to get some good tickets for a couple games. We went to the New Orleans Hornets (CP3's team) and the Boston Celtics game. We had good seats for each game and each game was equally amazing! We watched them spank both teams and it was well worth the money and drive time.
We Loved it!!!

Happy Anniversary Love!

Saturday before the game we were able to meet up with our favorite friends; the Sevy's and the Winder's for dinner. We spent hours catching up and laughing, it was so good to see them....it made me sad that we live so far away. (I miss having good friends around)
(thanks you guys for driving to SLC to meet us...you're the best)

(our camera struggles)
(This is for you Adam....it's pretty classic...I have so many pictures of you like this.
I assume it's your "Blue Steel".)

JAZZ vs. HORNETS GAME
Our seats were behind the Jazz bench so we were able to go down when they came in and watch them warm up.

I was so excited while we were waiting for the players to come out of the locker room.

I got to "high five" the players while they came out. I can't believe how tall they are in person....pretty much giants:)

Warming up!
(yet again our camera struggles)

My nephew Nick and his girlfriend Mauree were at the same game for his Birthday and there were a couple empty seats behind us so they moved down by us! It was fun to have them with us:)
Warming Up!

We bought T-Shirts for the game
(We didn't even know we were sitting in order...hahaha)

JAZZ vs. CELTICS

Brock was loving being there in all the action. There were a few Celtic fans behind us that Brock was taunting through the game....sad thing was that the oldest one was probably 15.

Pretty Blurry

We talked Brock's rivals into taking a picture for us!

The Celtics came in hot and left cold.
I think K. Garnet is a cool Kat and it was fun to watch him play a little.
Final Score

Miles is one of my favorite Jazz players and we stayed to watch his interview. I thought this was a funny picture even though the clarity is bad.

We were also able go to the new Oquirrh Mountain Temple by my parents house. My mom serves there so she was able to give us a little tour....it's amazing!
On our way home we saw this huge herd of Elk off the road.

Salmon River Trip

We had our first official camping trip of the year last weekend! Brock decided it was time to make a spring Steelhead fishing trip to the Salmon River at the last minute. I was really nervous to go because I thought it would be freezing cold, but it was actually a really pretty weekend.  We fished sunup to sundown Saturday and part of the day Sunday. The river was packed with all sort of fishermen, I felt like an outcast because I was the only girl around.
It was a great weekend for fishing....for everyone else! Mostly everyone I saw was having great success but us:( We used everything we could think of, used hints from others, fished the "sweet spots" and we still didn't catch any fish. I told Brock that I think I'm bad luck:(
It was still really fun to get outside though and enjoy the mountains. It got me super excited for the spring and summer, I can't wait!

This is seriously how some people were camping. There is a sweet fishing hole down the cliff and I guess this was the best way for them to keep their spot?

Our Random Camp
We actually stayed pretty toasty in our tent with our new Buddy Heater that Brock got for Christmas.

Lastly, we took our little poopsies with us. They love the mountains and being outside! Boog ran up the mountainside and woke up a Big Horn Sheep and Brutus was had fun sniffing stuff.
I hair sprayed Brutus' hair up, I thought he looked so funny!

Quality Time With Mom and Dad

My mom surprised Brock and I with a random visit for a week and we were super excited to have her come and stay. We met my Dad half way and had some dinner and picked up my mom over the weekend. We had a super time with her here, she's so much fun! My Dad didn't want to miss out on a visit but he couldn't take work off so he came at the end of the week. He left Friday night at midnight and drove all night to be here all day Saturday to visit (how nice huh....a little crazy but nice).

I'm so glad that my work is really relaxed with time off and I was able to get the week off to spend with my mom. While my mom was here we did some shopping, went to breakfast, lunch and dinner, we saw a couple movies, she helped me work on and get organized with family history, watched some Jazz games and did a lot of hanging out! When Dad got here we hung out and puttered around town.

It was so fun to have them here, I was really sad to see them leave :( We had super time with them, thanks for coming to visit Mom and Dad!

Mom got a lot of Crocheting time in and started a new baby blanket for my niece.

We went to this cool yarn store called "Stix" and mom loved it. She was a little leery about it being in a "spooky basement", but we survived. It's actually a really cute and fun store downtown.

Mom brought Boog's baby, Elliot along for the visit. He's so stinking cute and funny, I can't get over how much he's like Booger. Boog and Brutus had a fun time having him around.

Elliot

Boog is obsessed with my mom. He loves her so much, he pretty much sat on her lap the whole week. He couldn't get enough of my mom. This picture is funny because mom had moved him off her lap and he was sneaky and snuggled his way back onto her lap.

The Missouri River

I thought this was a funny picture of my Dad and Brock while they were talking about the river.

Me and my Daddy

We went to Ted's for dinner and after dinner there was a cool Blues Band performing in the lobby. We watched and listened for a while. Dad thought it was super cool and fun to listen to.

We had a super time!
Thanks for coming to see us Mom and Dad!!!!!
