Our float on the Yellowstone River and our Hike to Frazier Lake

A couple weekends ago Brock and I spent the day floating and fishing on the Yellowstone River. We took the drift boat, fishing gear and our puppies for the adventure. It was my first time on the Yellowstone and it was super fun. It was the perfect day for a float on the river. We were able to pull off to the shore a couple times to swim and to cool off. The fishing was pretty good except Brock caught more fish than I did and I got a horrible sunburn. (my first long day in a swimsuit...bound to get fried).

YELLOWSTONE RIVER

This weekend we camped at Fairy Lake and then hiked to Frazier Lake in the morning. Frazier Lake is a lake that we've wanted to hike to for some time now, so I was excited to check that off our list. The hike was a little more challenging than we expected but we made it! Once we got there we were able to hang out for a while and we ate lunch. When we got back to the campground we were going to hang out for awhile but the horse flies were insane and driving us crazy. I've never seen so many HUGE flies in my life. We had to pack our stuff and leave early.

Our dogs love to go on hikes with us, they were both worked by the time we got up to the top.

Hikes with the girls

A few ladies in our ward got together and hiked to Palisade Falls. It was a perfect day for a little hike through the mountains.

Palisade Falls

My two best buds and I hiked to Crescent Lake on one of our days off. It was a nice hike through the pine trees to a little lake that looped back around to Hyalite Lake.

(Kirsten is such a good mom to tote the little one around  on a hike).

The end of the hike is right along the shoreline of Hyalite through the trees.

A tough couple of days....

Brock has done some traveling for work during last few weeks and I've been able to tag along. We spent a weekend in Billings and we were able to go to the Temple and I got to do some shopping while Brock worked. We also spent a day in the northern part of Yellowstone. While we were there we saw 2 Black Bears and 1 Grizzly Bear and a hoard of random Elk....pretty sweet.

Billings
(who needs Vegas when you have Maui Nites Casino in Billings?.... Pretty classy).

I think you tell with out too many words that Brock is enjoying his new job!
