Our new Puppy addition
Okay, yes we have a new little puppy and we just love him!
We had a really random weekend including our surprise purchase of a puppy. My mom called me on Friday the 14th to tell me that her neighbor had Miniture Dachshunds for sell and asked if we wanted one. Since our family reunion in July, we've been thinking about getting a mini dachshund because we fell in love with my brother's mini dachshund, Gabby.
Friday night we went back and forth whether or not to do it. While we were thinking about it, we went up the canyon for a ward camp out. (It was fun until we decide to pack up our stuff and leave at 2AM because we hadn't slept a wink due to loud people in the neighboring campsite, non-related to our ward).
Saturday I needed to let my mom know what we had decided about the puppy. Brock and I told her that we weren't going to do it and she called the neighbor and told her we weren't going to buy the dog. About 10 minutes after that, Brock came in from outside and said "Pack your stuff and we're going to go get a dog". I called my mom back and she went and got the dog for us.
We made plans to meet in Idaho to pick up our new puppy. We spent our entire Saturday on the road but it was well worth it!
Thanks mom and dad for being good sports and doing us a HUGE favor, you're the best!!!
Our meeting spot was a the Flying J truck stop outside Pocatello, we also ate a "fancy" dinner there at the restaurant.
Pretty RANDOM..huh?
He's a different kind of mini dachshund, he's called a "Silver Dapple" duchshund. Notice his different markings and his coat, it's absolutely adorable.
His parents were really tiny and so he will probably be 6-8lbs full grown.

He already loves to lay on our couch pillows. I don't know what it is about those darn pillows, KaiKai loved them too.
He has the sweetest personality and is really quite mellow. He gets a short burst of energy but I think with his stubby little legs he doesn't last very long playing. He gets a little overwhelmed in our lawn because it's as tall as him (yes, it needs to be mowed). He's pretty much potty trained so we're really happy about that!

Work Party with WFF
Weekend fun with the Wells Fargo group.
Last weekend Brock and I joined the entire Wells Fargo District for a day at the Lake. We had a yummy BBQ and then played on the lake. The manager from Helena brought his new boat to share with us and the DM rented another boat and tubes for us to play on.
We had a great time socializing and enjoying some time on the lake. We've been wanting to got to Canyon Ferry for since we moved here, so it was a really fun opportunity for us.
Canyon Ferry is about 1 1/2 hr. from our home and is another gorgeous Montana Lake. We live in such a beautiful place, I can't get over all the GREEN mountains!

Bennett Family Reunion
YES....we enjoyed another Family Reunion! This time it was with the Bennett side of the family and we spent 4 days in Island Park, ID. Brock and I were in charge of the whole thing and I think it went really smoothly.
We stayed in a campground right next to Island Park Reservoir and soaked up the beauty of the mountains and the lake. My brother Mike brought his boat and my Dad and my brother Marlon brought their wheelers to help us explore our surroundings.
This was the first real "BIG" thing that I've ever planned on my own and it was surprisingly easy and not real stressful! We all had a good time playing with each other, relaxing and enjoying the outdoors!
Heather, Jon, Nick, Jake, Christy, Marlon, Mike, Damion, Nikki, Kim, Brock
Lynette, Dad, Mom
Kaitlyn, Brinlee, Ambree, Bransen, Nate & Zac
(my brother Bob and his family weren't able to make it, hopefully they will next year)!

Taking a beverage break
After Yellowstone my family followed Brock and I home and spent a night in Bozeman. They parked their Rv's out in front of our house. I'm sure our neighbors were worried how long they were going to stay.
What a wonderful week!

Have You Ever....
Have You Ever.....
Had someone do something nice for you, for no reason at all?
When our friends Conor & Etosha came over to help us dig fence holes, Etosha randomly brought me these pretty flowers. Who does that? They came over to labor in our dusty& hot yard and she brings me a gift? I was in shock at her super nice gesture and really grateful for their friendship.
When people do things like this for me, it makes me want to be that kind of person for other people. I'm so thankful I've been surrounded by a lot of really great people throughout my life!
Had a horrible haircut where you have to pay double or triple the original price to get it fixed?
It's so hard to move to a new place and not have a stylist or a specific place that you trust to cut your hair. I've been bouncing around to find the right person and along the way I got really screwed!
I've been trying to grow my hair out and have been TRIMMING it ever 5-6 weeks to keep it healthy. Well, I went into get my "TRIM" and left with short chunky layers on the top of my head and a long skinny rat tail in the back. To top it all off the guy had the nerve to say "see I left your length". Are you kidding me? I should have known at the beginning when he didn't even wet down my hair after I specifically told him I have naturally curly hair, what a loser.

Our Weekend In Idaho
Belnap Family Reunion
Brock and I spent this last weekend in Idaho with the Belnap side at the yearly reunion. We had a good time hanging out with the extended family. Brock was able to see Aunts, Uncles and Cousins that he hasn't seen in years and enjoyed catching up on life. I had fun meeting some more of the Belnap clan and I hear I haven't even scratched the surface. (Brock has something like 50+ cousins on the Belnap side...nuts) We enjoyed ourselves and are so glad that we made it to the party!!!!
Brock & a FEW of his cousins
We stopped on our way home and took pictures of the new Rexburg Temple in Idaho.

4th of July Celebrations
We had a very fun and random 4th of July weekend! We left Thursday night after Brock got off work and headed to Cliff & Wade Lakes, which is about 1 hour from our home. We got there at 10:00pm and all three campgrounds were packed with random humans. We had no choice but to find somewhere else to camp for the weekend.
Quake lake was just down the road about 15 miles so we headed there to set up camp in the dark. We had no idea of what our campground or surroundings looked like and were pleasantly surprised to wake up to beautiful mountains.
Our campground was right next to the lake so we decided to go fish for a couple hours. The walk to the lake was beautiful and the lake was pretty in an Eerie way. Quake lake was created by and earthquake in 1959, so the trees sticking out of the lake from where the forest used to be is kinda creepy. We caught no fish our first day.
Earthquake Lake
This is the landslide from the earthquake, which created the natural dam for the river making Quake Lake. Pretty crazy!
Fishing Quake
More fishing=lots of fish!
We went out the 2nd day and fished and caught a bunch. They were pretty fat rainbows and of course I caught the biggest but Brock caught more.
We caught 11 total fish, that's hot fishing for us.
Hebgen Lake
Quake Lake is right next to Hebgen Lake, so the afternoon of the 4th we went and hung out on the beach for the day. It was really warm so the cool water was refreshing but too cold to get all the way in so we put our chairs in the lake and chilled.
Madison River Bike Ride
After our Hebgen Lake trip we went for a long bike ride to the Madison river where we fished and roasted hot dogs. I was nervous about bears the whole time and couldn't really relax.
West Yellowstone
After our bike ride we went into west to wander through the shops, to get some ice cream and picked out our spot to watch fireworks. They put on a really good firework show, I think we are going to make it a yearly spot for us to watch fireworks!
Yes....I bought us these really cheesy 4th of July Old Navy Tee's. It was funny though, we liked it a lot.

Wade Lake
Wade Lake
Even though we didn't get to camp at Wade Lake we decide to go and play there for the day anyway. Well, when we got there all the canoes were rented and it was rainy. So we just hung out on the beach during the rain breaks. Pretty scenery but kind of a lame experience, we'll try again soon.

I was trying to get a picture of us and Brock was still mad about a spat we had and this is how our picture turned out. Men are so emotional....hahaha. I thought this was funny and I had to post it.
Our whole weekend was really random and un-planned, that's how we like it. "Flying by the seat of our pants" as my mom always puts it! Hey, it's an advantage of not having kids.

Belnap Family Reunion
Family Fun
We had our Belnap Family Reunion this year at the Diamond Fork Campground up Spanish Fork Canyon in Utah. So yes, another trip to Utah, we can't get enough!!! It was so great to see family that we haven't seen since Christmas and to relax together. Everyone was able to come except for Lacey, who had just had a new baby, it will be a whole year before we see her again....depressing. I couldn't believe how big our nephews and nieces are getting, it kinda makes me sad to see them grow up.
We had a really nice time camping, eating and hanging out with the family. We wished we could have stayed longer but it's always good to come home too.
After the reunion we stayed at my mom & dad's for a night and my mom made Brock a yummy birthday dinner. We also saw my whole side of the family because they all came to mom and dad's for Father's Day, bonus!
We are looking forward to some more camping trips here in Montana for the summer!
Brady, Brock, Trevor & Brett
Dylan & Talon
Brock and Kindred
KK was my little shadow at the reunion. I absolutely ate it up, she is such a doll. She would just come and hang out and play with us in our tent and helped us clean up our stuff when we were packing to leave. (We had beef jerky in our tent and I think that's really why she kept coming back).
Grandpa painting nails with the girlies
It was so cute to watch him paint their nails and the girls loved every minute of it!
