Brock entered me into an Outdoor photo contest. It's a picture of me with my BIG fish from Henry's Lake this spring. He didn't tell me about the contest until after the picture was already up and going....so I guess I just have to go with it!
If we win we will win a Camp Chef, which is a big deal for us since we camp a ton! Please go to the link below and vote for me!
Click on the link and then click on the "ready to vote" bar above the pictures, I'm #7.

Our First BIG Storm
It's been snowing since 5am this morning and hasn't stopped! There is a storm watch until 5pm, it's crazy snowy here and I love it!!! My poor little Honda couldn't make it up my driveway this afternoon- I'm going to have to shovel snow out of the way to get my car into the garage.
LOVE IT!!!

$ Computer Update $
Here's the computer update....
I sent out computer in thinking that our problem was just our power source and hoping a new power cord would fix us up but then I got the phone call......
He told us it would be about $300 to fix the problem (which was not the power source at all) and we decided to go ahead and do it because it was still cheaper than having to buy a new computer. The next day I got another call he he told me that he had given me a wrong quote and actually it would be a lot more. So we decided to not have it fixed and the repairman actually agreed and told me it basically wasn't worth saving. So, now we have to buy a new stinkin' computer, which totally irritates me because that computer was only 2 years old. ERRRR!
So I guess that will be our Christmas this year.....humbug!

OUT OF ORDER
Well, our computer is having some personal problems these days and it's been quite frustrating! I honestly can't believe how much I rely on that silly thing and the internet. I've been having to bum internet useage off of friends and work to get things done. I've even had to write checks and buy postage to mail bills....how ancient is that? Hopefully we can get it up and running and feeling good about life before Brock decides to take a shot gun to it.
Not much has been going on here these days! Mostly just work, work, work. Brock did however make a trip down the Salmon with his good friend last week. He caught a bunch of huge fish....which are now sitting in my fridge...yuck. I think it was a great break for him, he's been working really hard lately!
Anyway, hopefully our computer gets better and I can post some fun Halloween pics.

Here's some mind numbing information...
Brock emailed this to me....he thinks this describes me to a "T". Hummmmm.....I don't know......anyhow, I thought it was kinda funny. (thanks for the insight sweetie)

BoOg AnD gAbBy'S pUpPiEs
Boog is a big Papa now!
Boog married the love of his life, Gabby, back in July and they just had their babies in September! Gabby is my brother's dog, so I guess you could say it was an "arranged marriage". However, Boog has kinda turned out to be a "dead beat dad", I told him about the pups but he didn't seem to care much-he hasn't even written! (I know I'm nerdy)We're so excited to see the puppies!!!

Hanging with our Buddies
Our friends were up vacationing in Yellowstone so they popped by to hang with us for a couple days. We were so excited to have them here, it was so fun to spend time with people we are completely comfortable with. We've know Adam and Mikelle since before we were married and lived in the same apartment complexes with them while we were going to school. They are definitely some of our best buds, so it was sooooo fun the have them here.
While they were here we took them up to Big Sky and hiked to Ousel Falls, took them to our favorite Restaurant in town, played a nostalgic game of Boom-o, and went fishing at Henry's Lake. It was a short stay and I was super sad to see them go but we are so glad they came.!
Ousel Falls
We rented a little beater boat to fish for the day. It was so windy and cold-Mikelle and I thought for sure we were going to capsize.
(Thanks for the pics Mik)

OUR GLACIER TRIP OVER LABOR DAY
Brock and I finally made our trip to Glacier over Labor Day weekend! We took off Friday after work and drove to Flathead Lake to sleep (in the bed of the truck) and drove the rest of the way Saturday morning.
We got an awesome campsite near Lake MacDonald in Glacier and Apgar Village. I've never seen such beautiful scenery, the mountains and lakes were amazing.
We stayed until Tuesday morning and we were able to get out and see a lot. We did a few hikes to lakes and waterfalls and even drove to the Canadian border for dinner one night.
The weather was pretty good for the most part, it was pretty cold the last couple days but we never got cold at night!
I decided to do a slide show rather than posting a bunch of pictures. (if you point on the pics of the slide show it will tell you details about that pic)

SACAJAWEA PEAK
A couple weeks ago, Brock and I hiked Sacajawea Peak in the Bridger mountains near our home. Sacajawea is the highest peak in the Bridgers and a pretty intense hike. It's 4 miles round trip with about 2,000 feet elevation gain. We started early in the morning and hiked alone up the mountain with our doggies. The terrain was pretty rocky and there were many "Jagged" switchbacks on the trail. The views were absolutely amazing and we loved every minute of it. I would do this hike again in a heartbeat!!!
Brock, Boog & Brutus starting the switchbacks. People were pretty impressed that our little doggies made it the whole way-they love it!

The backside of the bridgers and if you look close you can see the trail & switchbacks at the bottom.

We were so excited that we saw Mountain Goats on our hike, neither of us had ever seen them before!
On the tip top of the peak there were two goats just hanging out. They didn't seem at all bugged with people being around and we were able to get some really good pictures of them. (we were close enough to them that we could have saddled them up and rode them down the mountain while calling them Sally & Harriette)

We DiD a LiTtLe Of ThIs.....AnD a LiTtLe Of ThAt....
HERE'S THE SCOOP OF SOME OF THE RANDOM THINGS WE'VE DONE IN THE LAST WEEK OR TWO!
I love my garden this year, it's doing so well for a little bitty garden! The other day I pulled my very 1st carrots out of the ground! (I've never done that in my life-it was sooo fun). I also picked one of our biggest peppers and I am using it in our dinner tonight!
I went swimming with my buddies to cool off from the summer heat.
Kirsten, Claire and Me

We bought a new Truck....yes, it's yellow. (I don't know why people keep asking me that- apparently most people are colored blind?)
We took Brock's new Bow our for it's first shoot.

We went on a chill FHE river float on the Maddy with our friends on their boat. ( We BBQ'd hamburgers on the float for dinner)

LaVa LaKe HiKe
Brock and I hiked to Lava Lake a few weeks ago and we took our puppies with us. It's about a 6 mile round trip hike and our puppies did awesome! (Brutus was only 8 weeks at the time and super tiny, we only had to carry him the last little bit) It was a beautiful hike through the pines and along a stream. When we got to the top we threw in our fishing lines but had not luck . So far it's my favorite hike by our house.

Random Obsession

Here's a little tid bit about me that you might not know.....I have an obsession with paper and school supplies. There I said, it's out in the open and I'm okay to talk about it now.
Around this time of year I really get excited to see all the "Back to School" items hit the shelf. However, now that I'm not in school I really have no reason for Crayons, Pens, Paper, Binders and erasers. It really is a sick obsession, mostly sick because apparently in some freaky weird way I must miss school (I like to think that I just miss the shopping end of it). I know, I know, I'm a freak.....feel free to judge me, believe me, I'm totally judging my subconscious.
Anyway, today I went in to Target for a few household essentials and couldn't help but walk down the school supply isle 2-3 times. I kept saying to myself "you don't need it & what would you use it for", so I put down the crayons and colored pencils and walked away. In the end, as I placed my bag of random sized notebooks in the car, I felt defeated by those damn notebook gimmicks.
